1.0.20–1.0.25 — steadier recordings, AirPlay at work.
A month of care over the moment you press Stop, mirroring that works on locked-down work PCs, and a Windows app whose menus finally do what they say.
Recordings you can trust (1.0.20–1.0.24)
- A recorded iPhone or camera layer can no longer go missing from the finished session (Windows 1.0.20).
- Fixed a crash that could happen shortly after stopping a take that included the iPhone or camera. The recording was always saved; the crash came afterwards (Mac 1.0.21, Windows 1.0.24).
- Quitting no longer hangs or leaves ScreenSolo running in the background (Mac 1.0.21, Windows 1.0.24).
- Exported video now matches the brightness of your screen instead of coming out darker (Mac 1.0.21).
AirPlay on work and school PCs (1.0.20, Windows)
If Windows 11 quietly stops advertising ScreenSolo on the network, ScreenSolo now notices and advertises itself, so your iPhone can still find it. The installer adds the firewall rule AirPlay needs, covering every port it uses. And if a managed PC’s security policy blocks the connection anyway, ScreenSolo says so — and what your IT team needs to allow — instead of waiting silently.
Menus, shortcuts and PowerPoint (1.0.25, Windows)
R, S, Ctrl+Q, F11 and Ctrl+Shift+F work again, and File › Quit quits. There’s a new View › Open Editor (Ctrl+E) for your latest session, and Help › Show Welcome brings back the setup guide. Export guide → PowerPoint now works on Windows, with nothing extra to install. On smaller or scaled displays, Recent sessions stays on screen, switching to a compact row when space is tight.
Smart Capture is Pro, and says so (Mac 1.0.22, Windows 1.0.24)
On a Free account the Smart Capture switch used to look usable and then do nothing. It now shows clearly that it’s a Pro feature and explains what Pro adds.
Clearer usage data (1.0.25)
The setting is now called “Share usage data”, and every settings screen describes it accurately. When it’s on and you’re signed in, your device is linked to your account; switch it off and nothing is sent. It never includes your recordings, what’s on your screen, file names or anything you type. The full list is here.

The setup guide has its pictures back (Mac 1.0.23, Windows 1.0.24).
