What's included in Pro?+

Pro is one subscription — $6.99/month or $69.90/year — that unlocks unlimited iPhone mirroring with no timer or logo, recording at your screen's full sharpness (Retina) with no watermark and no time or daily limit, Smart Capture, the full editor (camera and iPhone as layers, banners, backdrops, blur, trim), Direct the video, Focus Mode with no logo, and export — MP4 up to 4K in any shape, plus PDF, Keynote and PowerPoint guides. All the AI features come with it (Smart Extract, snapshot write-ups, Session Summary), plus 100 AI tokens a month. There's no separate AI add-on — the only optional extra is a token top-up (50 tokens for $2.99) if you ever need more than your monthly 100.
What are the limits on Free?+
Free records your screen or your iPhone in full 1080p, up to five minutes a recording and five recordings a day, with a small corner watermark. iPhone mirroring runs five minutes at a time, up to five times a day, with a small ScreenSolo logo and countdown in the bottom-right corner of the phone. The daily counts reset at midnight and are kept on your computer, so you don't need to sign in. Free never expires. Pro removes the limits, the logo and the watermark.
Is AI an extra add-on?+
No. AI is included in Pro — there's no separate AI plan or extra column to decode. Your Pro subscription comes with all the AI features and a fresh 100-token allowance every month.
Monthly or annual — what's the difference?+
Same Pro either way. Pay annually ($69.90/year) and you get 2 months free versus paying monthly — about 17% less. Monthly is the easiest way to start and stop; annual is the cheaper way to run Pro long-term.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Cancel from the app or your account portal at any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account reverts to Free. Your recordings and files always stay on your device.
Do you offer team pricing?+
Yes. Teams is the full Pro subscription per seat, from 20% off the individual price, and the more seats you buy the bigger the discount. Use the seat calculator in the Teams section above.
I'm a student, teacher or school — is there a discount?+
Yes — 30% off Pro for verified education users. It works with Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 Education accounts, so you don't need a .edu address. See the Education page for details.
Is there a Windows version?+
Yes — ScreenSolo runs on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 13+) and Windows 10/11. One codebase, one subscription, same Free and Pro on both.
What happens when I run out of AI tokens?+
Pro includes 100 AI tokens a month that refresh each billing cycle. If you need more before they refresh, you can buy a top-up of 50 tokens for $2.99. Top-up tokens never expire and are used after your monthly allowance.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported at checkout.
Will I be charged VAT or sales tax?+
If you're based in the UK, 20% VAT is added at checkout and shown on your receipt. Customers outside the UK are not charged any sales tax by us. Stripe handles VAT collection and receipt generation automatically.
Is my data safe?+
Yes. Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded. AI analysis is encrypted in transit and our AI provider does not store or train on your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
