How to do it
Open ScreenSolo on your Mac
Your Mac and iPhone need to be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Tap Screen Mirroring on the iPhone
Control Centre, Screen Mirroring, then pick your Mac from the list.
Press record
The mirrored phone is captured as video. Free records 1080p for up to five minutes.
Edit it afterwards
Zooms, blur, text and backgrounds sit on top of the recording, so nothing is baked in.

Can't I just use QuickTime?
You can, and it's free. It needs a cable, and it gives you a plain clip with no editing. ScreenSolo works over Wi-Fi and lets you zoom, blur and trim afterwards.
Does the iPhone need an app installed?
No. AirPlay is already part of iOS, so the phone needs nothing at all.
How long can I record for free?
Five minutes per recording, at 1080p, with a small watermark in one corner. Pro removes both limits.
Can I record my Mac screen and my iPhone at once?
