What it looks like

You disconnect your iPhone — with Disconnect & review after a recording, say, or when a Free session's time runs out — and then connect again. The iPhone says it's mirroring, but ScreenSolo shows the last picture from before, frozen. Nothing moves until you quit and reopen the app.

Why it happened

When a mirroring session ended, ScreenSolo didn't always close the old video connection straight away. If the iPhone didn't hang up its side either, the new connection waited behind the old one, and the picture never arrived.

The fix: ScreenSolo 1.0.26

This is fixed in ScreenSolo 1.0.26, on Mac and Windows. ScreenSolo updates itself, so you may already have it:

  1. Check your version — ScreenSolo → About ScreenSolo on a Mac, Help → About ScreenSolo on Windows.
  2. If it's older than 1.0.26, let the update finish and reopen the app, or download the latest.

If you can't update right now

  1. On your iPhone, open Control Centre → Screen Mirroring → Stop Mirroring.
  2. Quit ScreenSolo — ⌘Q on a Mac; on Windows, close the ScreenSolo window.
  3. Reopen ScreenSolo and connect again.

Also fixed in 1.0.26: clicks that didn't land

After the floating toolbar faded out, the strip where it had been could keep catching your clicks, so the buttons underneath didn't respond. That's fixed in 1.0.26 too. On an older version, quitting and reopening ScreenSolo clears it.
