Pro is a subscription — billed monthly or annually — so you can cancel it whenever you like. A Teams subscription works the same way. Either way, cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, never mid-cycle.
Cancelling Pro
Account page → Manage subscription → Cancel. You can also email support@screensolo.ai and we'll do it for you.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then you keep full Pro — every feature and the monthly AI tokens you're paying for. After it lapses:
- Your account reverts to Free — mirroring and the basic recorder keep working; the Pro-only features and the monthly AI refill stop.
- Any one-time Free tokens and top-up tokens you still have remain yours and don't expire. So if you cancel with 40 top-up tokens left, you keep those 40.
- Your recordings and exported files always stay on your device — cancelling never touches them.
Cancelling a Teams subscription
If you're a team admin, manage the subscription from Account → Team → Billing (or the Stripe portal linked there). Removing seats takes effect at your next renewal; removed members keep access until then. See ScreenSolo Teams for the full flow.
If you're a team member, there's nothing for you to cancel — your seat is paid for by your team. If your team removes you or its subscription ends, your seat's Pro access ends and your account reverts to Free, unless you also hold your own personal Pro subscription.
Switching between monthly and annual
You don't have to cancel to change your billing cycle. From Account → Manage subscription you can switch Pro between monthly and annual; the change and any proration are shown before you confirm.
14-day right to cancel (UK / EU consumers)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel a digital service for a full refund — *provided you haven't downloaded or used the app yet*. The same applies in most EU jurisdictions.
If you started a Pro subscription and haven't used ScreenSolo yet, email support within 14 days. We'll refund and reverse the charge.
Refunds after 14 days / after use
Discretionary. Email support with the reason and we'll consider it. Common cases we'd refund:
- You bought expecting a feature we haven't shipped yet
- A bug made the app unusable for a meaningful period
- You bought twice by accident
- Generally: if you're frustrated and we agree the frustration is fair, we'll refund
Common cases we'd decline:
- "Changed my mind, used it for a month" — outside the 14-day window
- "Want to use the same purchase on more computers" — one purchase covers one active login at a time; sign in on another computer and the first is signed out
- Refunds on token top-ups that have been consumed
Account deletion
Separate from cancelling: Account page → Delete account. We give a 30-day grace period during which you can restore by signing back in. After 30 days the account and all associated data is permanently deleted — including your token balance and AI-usage history. See Account deletion + grace period.
