Direct the video is the fastest way to edit. Open a recording, press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to open the Director drawer, type an instruction where it says Describe the change you want…, and the edit is applied — as a layer you can still adjust or remove. Type / to see the verbs it knows.
What you can ask for

It works on desktop recordings and iPhone recordings alike — with or without snapshots. The phone commands work on takes where the iPhone is a layer.
Every edit stays editable
Nothing is burned in. Each request becomes ordinary effect chips on the timeline — the same ones you'd make by hand — so you can nudge, restyle, or delete them afterwards. After each edit the Director offers Keep, Undo or Adjust… (which selects the new chip so you can fine-tune it). See Editing a recording.
Not sure where to start?
In the Video view, the Director's ✦ Polish this recording asks the AI for a per-item plan for the whole recording. Nothing is applied until you tick the items you want and press Apply — they land on the timeline as ordinary, undoable edits.
What it costs
One AI token per request, and one for a Polish plan — applying it costs nothing more. Undo a request within 30 seconds and the token is automatically refunded — trying something costs nothing if you change your mind straight away.
