Installing ScreenSolo
Download from screensolo.ai/download. The Mac build is a signed and notarised .app — drag it into Applications. The Windows build is a standard installer.
ScreenSolo doesn't need an account to mirror, record, annotate, or export. You only need to sign in if you want the AI features.
Connecting your first iPhone
- Open ScreenSolo on your Mac or PC. It immediately advertises itself as an AirPlay display on your local network.
- On your iPhone, open Control Centre and tap Screen Mirroring.
- Pick <your computer name> · ScreenSolo from the list.
That's it. The mirrored screen appears in the ScreenSolo window within a second or two. Portrait or landscape both work; ScreenSolo adapts.
What if I want to keep mirroring private?
In Settings → Receiver name + PIN, turn on Require PIN. ScreenSolo will then prompt for a four-digit code on the iPhone whenever someone tries to connect. Good for shared spaces like classrooms or open-plan offices.
What an account unlocks
Sign in (via the sidebar account chip) to:
- Use the AI features (Smart Extract, Explain, AI keyframe write-ups, Session Summary)
- Subscribe to Pro — one plan that includes everything, AI and all
Account is optional — the app's core mirroring, recording, and local export all work without one.
